On December 24th of 2015 the DAIDO MORIYAMA X ROCK STAR HOTEL opened in Osaka, Japan.
This six floor hotel has been outfitted entirely with the photography of famed Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. In addition to a suite and single rooms, there is a party room in which to relax with friends. No doubt this will be a popular destination for Moriyama fans when visiting his hometown of Osaka. This hotel remodel is a venture between gallery owner and book publisher Akio Nagisawa and digital-pubilsher Plexus, which oversaw the creation and implementation of the interior design. A sixteen minute talk event with Moriyama and Nagasawa can be seen on the hotel’s youtube channel here. (Japanese only)
