BREAKING: NYC grand jury decides not to indict NYPD cop who killed Eric Garner
Just a week after a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, declined to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of Michael Brown, a grand jury in New York City has decided not to file charges against an NYPD police officer who killed Eric Garner, a 43-year-old Staten Island man he allegedly caught selling loose cigarettes on the sidewalk.
The officer, Daniel Pantaleo, placed Garner in a chokehold during a confrontation over the summer.
